About Me

Some 35 years ago I found myself unsatisfied with life.  I had  a successful career in marketing but I realised that I had somehow lost my direction and passion. I began seeing a counsellor to explore some issues and to embark upon a journey of self discovery. As my values, feelings and frame of reference slowly changed I became more interested in therapeutic work and enrolled on a course to train in counselling. I completed the three year Metanoia Diploma in Person Centred Counselling in 1996.

Training, Qualifications and Experience

I now have 30 years of counselling experience and in that time I have worked for numerous organisations in the public and private sectors. These include Kingston Women’s Centre, Hounslow Youth Counselling, Sutton Drug and Alcohol Recovery Team, Alcohol Counselling and Prevention Services, Cranstoun Drug Services and Twickenham Counselling Partnership as counsellor, trainer and counselling supervisor.

I wa the Clinical Lead and Adult Service Coordinator at Kingston Bereavement Service . I was responsible  for the recruitment, management and support of 24 counsellors  and 4 clinical supervisors as well as ensuring the service complied with the BACP Ethical Framework of  good practice.

I am a Senior Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Framework. This means I have a wealth of experience and more importantly that you will be in safe hands.  I hold professional liability insurance for my work.
